General description of the position:
The Adult Day Care Aide provides compassionate and professional care to patients in Adult Day Care. This role includes assisting with mobility, meal planning, companionship and ensuring the general well-being of patients.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist patients to ambulate and move around the center.
- Plans and assists in preparing and serving meals.
- Provide companionship and support to patients.
- Promptly report any unusual incidents to supervisors.
- Responds quickly and responsibly in emergency situations.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Administrator and/or Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a caregiver.
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR).
- Willingness to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Respectful, compassionate and ethical.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical endurance and ability to perform physical tasks.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in similar functions.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
