Since our founding, we have been dedicated to providing compassionate healthcare to our community. Over the years, we have expanded our services, enhanced patient care and embraced innovation, all while staying true to our mission of putting patients first. Every milestone along our journey reflects our commitment to excellence and our unwavering goal of building a healthier future for those we serve.

Our history

Mercedes Medical Centers are a key component of health care for seniors. We have a network of ten medical centers strategically located to serve all of Miami-Dade and Broward County.

1971

On September 24, our first clinic in Miami, known as Clinica Las Mercedes, opened its doors at 1479 NW 27th Avenue, Miami, FL.

2010

We incorporated the services of Social Workers and ACCESS and started the courtesy transportation service.

2011

On November 23, the City of Miami honored us for our commitment to accessible healthcare in the community.

2012

On May 13, the city of Hialeah recognized our dedication to community healthcare. In June, we opened the Las Mercedes Clinic on Bird Road.

2013

We opened our 3rd Las Mercedes Clinic in West Hialeah.

2016

We started in January with a new Las Mercedes medical center in Miami Gardens.
We inaugurated Adult Day Care services with openings on April 18 in West Hialeah, June 17 on Bird Road and October 12 in Miami Gardens.

2017

We implemented a high-risk patient program to provide support and stabilize chronic and severe health conditions.

2018

New centers and adult day care centers were opened in West Kendall and East Hialeah, improving our accessibility.

2019

We expanded into the Homestead community by opening a new clinic and an Adult Day Care center

2021

We officially became Las Mercedes Medical Centers, which represents our growth and dedication to comprehensive and compassionate healthcare.

2024

We reached a new milestone by acquiring Pasteur and Wellmax, two subsidiaries of Anthem (now Elevance Health). This acquisition expanded our reach to 22 medical centers reinforcing our commitment to serve and support our communities with improved access to quality healthcare.
