General description of the position:
The Cleaning Assistant ensures the cleanliness, safety and maintenance of the facilities. The position involves performing cleaning and maintenance tasks while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Sweeping, mopping and keeping floors clean in all areas of the facility.
- Collect and properly dispose of waste and recycling materials.
- Clean toilets and replenish supplies regularly.
- Dust and polish furniture, walls and equipment.
- Wash windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
- Notifies management of major repair needs or safety issues.
- Prepares and organizes areas for events, including decorations and seating arrangements.
- Assists in preparing and serving refreshments in designated areas.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance functions is an asset.
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 15 kilograms.
