General description of the position:
The Driver operates company vehicles to transport patients to and from appointments safely and efficiently. This position involves ensuring a high level of service while respecting all traffic and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Respect local traffic laws and company policies during transportation.
- Inspects vehicles daily, checking gasoline, oil and water levels before leaving.
- Accompany patients to and from referral appointments, providing assistance when necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness, polish and operational status of the vehicle.
- Promptly report delays, accidents or other transportation problems.
- Assist patients in and out of vehicles and provide umbrellas during inclement weather.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during transport.
- Promote safety through training according to OSHA and company standards.
- Reviews transport schedules and confirms that patients return home safely.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class E driver's license with a clean driving record of more than three years.
- You must be at least 24 years old and have an insurable driving record.
- Knowledge of vehicle safety, DOT regulations and operating systems.
- Great communication and customer service.
- Preferably bilingual (Spanish/English).
