General description of the position:
The APRN provides advanced patient care, including diagnostics, treatment planning and consultations, to promote health and manage disease effectively.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform physical examinations and diagnose diseases.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, electrocardiograms and laboratory tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, adjusting them if necessary.
- Prescribing and dispensing medications.
- Accurately documents patient information in EMR systems.
- Educate and counsel patients and families about diseases, treatments and preventive care.
- Refer patients to specialists or other health professionals when necessary.
- Provide on-call support within the primary care group.
Qualifications:
- Current APRN license in Florida.
- Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Nursing.
- BLS and ACLS certification in force.
- Strong computer skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
