Full time General description of the position:
The Physical Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support the rehabilitation of patients. This includes assisting patients with exercises, maintaining therapeutic equipment and ensuring a safe therapeutic environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist patients in performing prescribed exercises and therapeutic routines.
- Monitor the patient's progress and report observations to the supervising Physiotherapist.
- It uses therapeutic techniques such as massage or stretching to improve the patient's mobility.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapeutic space.
- Educate patients and family members about treatment plans and home care techniques.
- Helps patients move from one therapeutic zone to another when necessary.
Qualifications:
- State physical therapy assistant license is required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Great attention to detail and knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Medical office experience is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable.
