General description of the position:
The Physician provides proactive treatment and diagnostics, promoting the health and safety of patients while ensuring compliance with healthcare rules and regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborates with staff to meet the medical needs of patients.
- Ensure that patients meet the medical criteria for admission.
- Participates in Quality Assurance and Utilization Review processes.
- Supervise professional employees and maintain documentation according to regulations.
- Address billing errors and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Promote the reputation of the medical center and foster its growth.
- Communicate effectively with the governing body and the CEO/President.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine or Otolaryngology degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in a primary care specialty.
- Valid medical license from the State of Florida.
- Preferably bilingual (Spanish/English).
