General description of the position:
To greet customers/patients pleasantly and with courtesy, provide visitors with all directions and information regarding the medical centers.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide an optimal level of customer service and maintain professionalism to resolve all customer service issues and provide feedback, if necessary.
- Be able to see multiple patients and greet everyone courteously, as well as assist with special patient requests.
- Coordinate with front desk staff and assist in reducing the number of desk visits by patients. Manage patient communication and ensure authenticity of information provided.
- Must be an active listener, paying full attention to what others are saying, taking the time to understand, asking questions when appropriate and not interrupting inappropriately. Convey information effectively.
- Critical thinking to identify how to handle situations as they arise. Being aware of others' reactions and why they react the way they do.
- The person must enjoy working with others rather than working alone.
- The job requires attention to detail, as well as being thorough in completing job tasks on time.
- Must be proficient in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and have a quick reaction time.
- Will orient and assist patients and visitors in the waiting room and maintain general order in the waiting room.
- Will keep the waiting room tidy, alert the environmental department, if necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in customer service area, preferably in a medical center.
- Bilingual.
