General description of the position:
The Customer Service Representative assists patients and their families by answering questions, providing facility information and assisting with account inquiries.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet patients, visitors and family members cordially and professionally.
- Responds to patients' needs and concerns with empathy.
- Provides information about the center's services and physician availability.
- Reviews or updates patient accounts as needed.
- Handles complaints effectively and escalates to supervisors when necessary.
- Record details of patient interactions and measurements.
- Follow up with patients to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Skillfully utilizes EMR systems to maintain patient records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the director.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in medical practices is preferred.
